    Finally a MR16 bulb from Philips Hue!
    I replaced the GUZ5.3 socket in an IKEA EVEDAL lamp and now I can have colors in my lamp. (I also replaced the transformer of the lamp)

    Short comings with the best intentions.
    I think it is an excellent product, but I received a box of two lamps of which one was faulty. There was an immediate positive response and I could be sending it back for refund. The intentions were good but but return the full box with one good and one faulty lamp I’m afraid is of no use to me. On one lamp is faulty, not two. And thus I have declined. It does not sort out the problem of a faulty supply and should be replaced by a working unit, not to let be hang out to dry, without solving the customers problem.

    Finally a great replacement for Halogen MR16 Bulbs
    I have about 9 of these bulbs in various track fixtures in my home. I tried LED replacements before but nothing could compete with Halogen for dimming and warmth. These Philips Hue bulbs are the first that can. Not to mention they’re a lot cooler and more efficient.I was previously running Lutron Caséta Smart Dimmers and always heard a faint buzzing that got louder with dimming. Now I can dim all the way to zero in silence!I only wish they offered them in a single pack since I have odd number of fixtures!

    They were cutting edge when I installed them, but now they’re retro. My short hallway sports just 3 tension cable light heads, though I have three more I can add. Since these bulbs come in a two pack, I’ll add another head soon for the fourth light.It’s fantastic to be able to control these now through Hue, and to set the colour and brightness for each bulb individually. I have scenes to illuminate the items on the wall, to provide dim illumination for heading to bed without disturbing my roommate, and even a “nightwalker” mode that uses these and other key lights in the living room and kitchen to provide a low-key lightly lit path from the bedrooms to the kitchen in the middle of the night. More drinks of water, less stubbed toes and groping of walls.Should probably buy a final two to fill out my set. Wish they weren’t so darn expensive!

    I’ve been waiting for Hue to come out with Mr-16’s for a decade. Now they all belong to me!! No surprises, they fit in my recessed fixtures and work as they should. A bit expensive but that’s Hue. Recommended!
