Waterproof, beefy, and works well.
I used this to switch the power tongue jack on my camper. The jack was wired always-on, and I didn’t want easy access to raising or lowering the jack while parked. This switch is tucked away on the frame near the battery, so it’s easy to turn on and off. I did not wire it for illuminating the switch either on or off, but that can be done if you need it.

The screw/clamp connectors are weak and will not accept 12 AWG wire; 14 AWG puts a strain on them in that the threads holding the clamp and screw are MINIMAL and weak. I had to buy female slip-on (spade) connectors to use this switch; they sit the tabs on the switch very well. Switch is probably ok for 18 and 16 AWG, but that is not 16 and 20 amp wire as advertised.

Seems perfect for my application
Iâm using this to run a water pump on a trailer. My old switch burned out because of the amperage apparently. Hopefully this one will be up to the task. I did learn that if you use both grounds on the switch, the light will stay on in both off and on positions. My pump is only running off of a car battery and a small solar panel so I did not want to have a 24/7 power drain. But I also want to try to remember to shut the pump off when not in use in case it develops a leak, so the light would be helpful while itâs on. If you just splice your black wires together separately, then the switch still works but the light will not illuminate in either position. I ran a jumper however, and connected to only one side. Now the light only comes on when the switch is on. So you can wire a couple of different ways, but it didnât come with any instructions (that I saw) describing the light options. The box has a reasonable amount of space in it while not being too big. I was able to get both of my wires in as well as a triple Wago nut surprisingly. Thatâll be the max though.

Excellent Switch with One or Two Caveats.
Well made. Excellent waterproofing. Good looking. However, since this switch is being sold as applicable to 120VAC, you would think there would be a ground screw inside. Most AC is 3 wires (hot, neutral, & ground). You’ll need to connect the ground wires together from each side of the switch box’s wire inlets. You can do it a variety of ways but the connection has to be insulated so it doesn’t touch the hot or neutral terminals. I used a wire nut but the gauge of the wire I was working with was small and so a very small wire nut could fit in the switch box.Another thing that bothers me but is probably just fine, is how close the metal terminals are to each other. I assume it is unlikely there would be any arcing as long as the interior remains dry. However, with enough current, this may be an issue. My inline GFCI should let me know. I power up the circuit in a few days.If the switch box were a little larger, these issues could be easily addressed.

Well made.
This is a solid switch. I am using it for a battery switch for my solar panels on a sailboat. It looks fairly water tight, but I would not store it outdoors.
