I set up the camera (not complicated), installed it to the front overhang. The camera quality is good, after a week the motion detection part of the camera stopped working (it no longer moves when there is movement in my yard). The battery life is good. The sound quality is excellent. My phone notifies me whenever motion is detected in my front yard. Overall it’s not a bad camera if you don’t mind it being in a fixed state

Easy to install
Camera is super easy to install and link to your wifi. Picture is very good. It’s very quiet when moving the camera. Control is easy. Much better than any previous cameras I’ve had. Great for the price.

This review is for:VIZIUUY 5MP Camera Surveillance Exterieur, 5G Security Cameras Wireless Outdoor with Auto Tracking, 24/7 Recording WiFi Cameras for Home Security, Plug-in Power,IP66,Works with AlexaThe first thing to note is that this camera interface is via the CloudEdge app. The has some idiosyncrasies (during setup) but it gives me good usage of the camera.As a wired (for power) wifi security camera, this camera can record 24/7. It can also create alerts based on motion or sound detection. The parameters are set in the app, CloudEdge.The next thing I’ll suggest is choosing a security camera based not only on camera features but also on app preference. If I have more than one camera (and more than one camera brand, which I do), I don’t want a bunch of different apps. This camera supports: CloudEdge, Google Assistant, RTSP, Amazon Alexa. I’m happy with CloudEdge but YMMV of course.This camera can connect to wifi by 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz network so you’re pretty well set with whatever WiFi tech you’re using. The only glitch I find in setup (with CloudEdge) is that, once I successfully connect to the camera, the app gives me the impression the connection failed (when it actually worked). I close the app and then go to the camera! (I have seen it with several cameras by now: Whether it’s me (possibly) or the app, the bottom line is that the job gets done!)This camera is powered by AC via USB and a USB power adapter is included. Also, the USB cord is quite long (great!) and the connection to the camera is threaded to prevent water ingress. Excellent!This camera works as advertised. Video and sound quality is good for a small sensor imaging device (as is true of all security cameras). Regardless, resolution drops off in all but good light.You can update firmware via the CloudEdge app (if available: my camera came with the latest firmware). You can set also recording parameters and notifications (I turn those off but YMMV) among other things. You can pan and tilt the cameras via the app. For recording, get a decent speed microSD card: It will make reviewing recording video and images more successful. So far so good!Misses?- Waterproof: Not really a miss as it’s common to the products in this category but I find it’s best, based on my experience, to not put the camera out where it can get rained on directly. Put the camera under an overhang or, as I have done, fashion a margarine tub as a lid. Regardless, while I hope the camera will last years, I don’t expect it to last a lifetime.It’s a competitive product category. While I haven’t found 2.4GHz connections a problem in the past, 5G connectivity differentiates this from some. Good camera. Worth shortlisting. Recommended accordingly.

Firstly, I’m not particularly savvy with this type of unit as I have not had any home security cameras before to compare this one with. I have briefly used those at work but they are an expensive commercial type that wouldn’t be a good or fair comparison. I find the picture quality is good enough to cover my driveway and outbuildings as well as the vehicles parked there. I can just about make out the licence plates of delivery vehicles if they face along the driveway and are at least halfway up. Facial recognition is hard to say as I recognize regular visitors by their car before I see their faces so I already know who to expect – delivery drivers I would probably have difficulty picking them out in a line up. So, basically this unit is more useful as a burglary deterrent with its various features for communication and setting a light and/or alarm off via the app. As evidence for a prosecution, I’m not sure if the detail would necessarily always be sufficient. I like it to check in on movement as per the app letting me know someone is around and to be able to communicate with them. I find that sometimes there is a delay in the verbal communication on the unit and the tracking of a moving person can be a bit stilted or jittery. However this doesn’t happen every time so it may also be my wifi connection that has an effect on that. It can vary with signal on my cellphone when moving around the yard so the same may be happening here. Unfortunately I can’t give a technical review of the camera as it’s not my forte – my nephew set it up for me and it only took him about 30 minutes to have it installed on my phone and working. However, I set up the camera unit itself just under the eaves of the porch and it gives me a good enough coverage of the area, although I am considering giving it a try on the front of the garage for an alternative viewpoint. Both locations give me an outlet within the 10 feet of reach on the power cable, so all good there. The garage location would also have the advantage of putting the unit out of reach of anybody covering/smashing it or removing the SD card that I will be installing to be able to record footage onto. Something to consider when choosing a location. This camera is bright white and I’m still on the fence about it being a good thing that it is seen – as a deterrent – or if it should be more camouflaged so it isn’t avoided/worked around or tampered with. Overall I am happy with this device and with the quality of both the camera and the footage it produces, given the reasonable price point. If you want something with commercial grade level of sound and vision, I think you will have to spend a lot more money. I don’t want or need to do that, currently. Hopefully it stays that way and I can continue to have some peace of mind with this camera setup.
