Your light (load) must supply the 10 volts!
Interesting little item. I have it working with my android phone and/or with Alexa. You need to be a bit tech savvy. The brightness range is between maybe 10% and 100%. It won’t turn the light completely off.So, your LED lights must supply the 10 volts dc to this device (ie: your fixture has a pink and a purple wire labeled dimming- and dimming+). Effectively this works as a variable resistor between these two wires. With open (infinite resistance) being full brightness and closed, dead short (zero resistance) being fully dimmed. It will remember the last brightness level if it loses power. My setup. I am controlling a quantity of 2 new 4′ home depot fixtures with two led lamps each with one dimmer in my kitchen. The dimmer is installed in one fixture. They look like old florescent fixtures. 120 VAC goes from the existing wall switch to the fixtures and the dimmer. The dimming- and dimming+ from both fixtures (drivers/ ballasts) go to the 0-10 volt terminals on the dimmer.I downloaded the app “shelly smart control” to my android. I had to power cycle the lights for it to find my wifi router and set it up. After setup if you want to use Alexa you have to search for and enable the shelly smart control skill then link it to the app. That’s it. It sounds complicated but if you just move along it kind of works itself out.So. The wall switch turns the lights on/off at their previous brightness and I control the brightness with my voice “Alexa lights 30%.” or with the slider on the smart phone app. You can set up timers and schedules in the app or probably in Alexa also.I bought 2 because I thought I might need one go each fixture but I only needed one for both.Hope that helps.

Great Dimmer
I purchased this to control with some Meanwell PWM power supplies for an under-cabinet LED lighting solution and they seem to work very well turning the LEDs completely off. In the past, I have used Zooz 0-10 volt solution but have had issues with Z-Wave reliability. I do wish these had an internal 120VAC relay like the Zooz to completely cut the power but I can add a master Shelly relay and still have less cost than the Zooz solution.

great dimmer, does not have relays as depicted on case
the diagram on the case of this product is deceptive, it makes it look like it has 2 relays in addition to the 0-10v outputs. it does not. those are INPUT ports, so you can have two 110/220 switches as inputs to trigger some sort of automationi actually used this alongside an esp01 relay to drive a large parking/street light dimming circuit in esphome. the dimmer itself isn’t enough to control it because the LEDs would faintly glow even when it was dimmed to 0% or turned off via dimmer output this isn’t the fault of the dimmer, i tried shorting the wires directly and it still happens, so if you’re planning on dimming something like a large led circuit, you probably need to install a wifi relay alongside this dimmer to shut the lights off when not in use, i did flash this with esphome using some needle probes, it worked very well, but plain dupont connectors will not fit in the holes in the back. you can probably use some cutoff staples too if you can figure out how to hold the 5 of them in place for the flashing process. they also could have made the holes standard for those of us who do not want to rely on cloud services or any additional software. other than that, good, and works

Not “universal” 0-10V, but it’s great
Great little device. It connected easily and it was promptly recognized by Home Assistant.Even though it’s a 0-10V “sinking” device, it actually provides a PWM and not a pure DC voltage, so it won’t be compatible with “all” LED drivers. My LED driver can be controlled by a “sourcing” dimmer or a variable resistance, so connecting it directly to my LED driver didn’t work even though it behaves as a variable resistance. The solution for my system was adding a 1k resistor in series with the positive 0-10V terminal. Everything works now.Hey Shelly, maybe this is a HW update to be considered for future iterations?

I am controlling a roof fan over 0-10V. It took me some time to investigate how the installation should be done to get the output showing a 0-10V out put.

I use it to control a 4kw dimmer that controls an electric boiler.Every watt that is generated bij solar panels and that is available for injecting will go to the boiler.

Works exactly as expected, very responsive, tiny… Just the job. I hid this in my ceiling rose allowing me control my 1-10v light with no dedicated low voltage wiring.
